No hay avance
Hoy viernes no muestra avances en su condición respiratoria, lo cual no es bueno. Se le está alimentando para que gane peso y fuerzas. Los doctores creen que ganando fuerzas podrá entonces respirar por su cuenta. Paola aún sigue con soporte respiratorio y el día de ayer le descubrieron el pulmón izquierdo de nuevo colapsado y el diafragma aún paralizado. Paola ingresó al hospital alrededor del 18 de febrero y estamos muy confiados que aunque hoy y durante los últimos 15 no han habido mejoras pronto las habrán y más temprano que tarde retornará a casa.
Sabíamos que sus pulmones gracias al virus respiratorio que le dió antes de la cirugía no iban a estar bien para la recuperación, sin embargo, en la cirugía hubo algo mas, 20% de los niños operados a pecho abierto se les paraliza el diafragma (musculo de la respiración), esto sucede porque ese nervio es diminuto (casi invisible) y es cortado por accidente por el cirujano, a Paola en su cuarta operación le tocó entrar en la estadística, el virus, y el diafragma paralizado son las causas de su estado actual.
El tiempo es la única cura para ella en este momento, hay una cirugía que se puede realizar para apartar el diafragma paralizado, pero no la quieren hacer todavía, quieren dar tiempo. El tiempo es la única cura para ella en este momento.

Como bien lo dices, hay que darle tiempo al tiempo; de antemano se sabía que no iba a ser fácil y que este tipo de cirugía está rodeado de muchos riesgos. Mucha fe y esperanza en esta época propicia para ello. Se les lleva en nuestras oraciones de mejoría y fortaleza para todos ustedes como familia.
